We had a fantastic time at the 49th Annual Block Party, “Mission Concern,” hosted by the Concern Foundation at Paramount Studios backlot last month! It was an electrifying evening filled with gourmet food, fantastic entertainment, and a community united by a noble cause—cancer research. We experienced a genuinely breathtaking night that was both fun and purposeful.
The atmosphere at the event was very cheerful, despite the serious reason for us being there. The historic Paramount Studios backlot was a perfect backdrop for a night filled with unity and collective effort, all in support of raising funds for cancer research. Together, we raised over $2.2 million. The cheerful and celebratory vibe, along with an underlying tone of hope and determination, made the night truly special.
The food and drinks were out of this world! The Best of LA 2024® from Los Angeles magazine included an incredible lineup of what LA offers, including Nobu Malibu, Fogo de Chão, Pink Taco, Factor’s Famous Deli, and Pinks; all were out of this world. Lemon Ice and Buzzbar were a delightful surprise on a warm night. The desserts were out of this world Offering pastries from Bea’s Bakery, Sugar & Grace Bakeshop, Chocolate, and the Chip, and Porto’s Bakery & Café ensured our sweet tooth was more than satisfied.
Specially selected spirits and wineries like: Austin Hope, DAOU Vinyards, Good Monkey Whiskey, and Mezcal 33 and Milagro Tequila.
The entertainment for the night was as cosmic as the theme suggested. The Main Launch Pad featured a stellar performance by the Tom Nolan Band, while the Hirsch Family Foundation presented D’ City Sound & Events.
Coming together for a meaningful cause with neighbors and strangers was truly palpable; having such a significant event near Larchmont and Hancock Park area is a blessing. Special thanks to Lawrence Moore and Associates for your hospitality; you are all are amazing!
