We dedicate this post to one of the most amazing contributors and behind the scenes inspirations for Viva LA Foodies.
Samantha Jane Rubenstein’s life was cut way to short when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer in early 2020 during the height of the Pandemic.
She had a history of stomach issues including Gluten Intolerance and didn’t think much of her symptoms but she went ahead and got checked by numerous doctors and at the time of Diagnosis in March of 2020 it had metastasized.
She received amazing treatment from The City of Hope in Duarte and her Oncology team was amazing and they were able to give her 4 more year of life. She fought this horrible disease on a daily basis and managed to become a Feng Shui master during the process.
Not a day goes by that we don’t think about her amazing contributions to our lives. She worked behind the scenes on many award shows in TV Production as well as being a very successful and talented poet, writer and even a commercial property manager.
She touched the lives of so many so we would like to take this moment to acknowledge her many accomplishments including the production and execution of this Mixology video that was from the archives from February 25, 2013.

Please feel free to share on your social pages and amongst the community. Her memory lives on and we are working on publishing a book of her poetry and writings in the year to come.
We will always love you Samantha Jane Rubenstein.
If you would like to make a small charitable contribution in her honor she would appreciate you supporting the City of Hope
