A Thai Tribute to Chef Tui Sungkamee at The LINE Hotel | LA FOOD BOWL

Groening and chefs Kris Yenbamroong (Night + Market restaurants), Andy Ricker (Pok Pok), Jet Tila (Chef Jet), Louis Tikaram (E.P. & L.P.), and LA SON: Roy Choi (Kogi/The Line Hotel/POT/Sunny Spot/A-Frame, Locol..& the new TV Series “Broken Bread”) came together at The Line Hotel to honor Tui Sungkamee, the beloved chef and co-owner of Los Angeles’ notable Thai restaurant, Jitlada who was passed last October.

Today’s society is primarily focused on the pictures of food which is the last thing on a chef’s mind. Niki also supported Magnus by saying that all of the chefs on the panel besides her (Massimo Bottura of Osteria Franciscan and acclaimed LA Times Food Bowl, Best New Restaurant first annual award recipient Roy Choi of (LOCOL, Kogi, The Line Hotel, POT, Commissary, Chego, A-Frame, Sunny Spot et:al ), believe that they are artisans not artists.
