Boomtown is a large and in-charge brewing facility and event center in what seems to be a soon-to-be gentrified part of DTLA neighboring the 101 freeway and Los Angeles River. Different portraits of Ziggy Stardust greet you as well as paintings of sexy women in see-through clothing. Inside, the custom artwork continues with a behemoth gold owl mural. Community tables sit adjacent from the bar pouring beers with some of the most creative titles ever put on lagers, ales, and Goses.

Luckily, Viva LA Foodies, will be covering Boomtown Brewery’s first ever Beer and Cheese pairing on Wednesday, August 2 that is not only going to school us and our knowledge, but provide an opportunity for all of Los Angeles to see how they are the ultimate couple.

The best burger in Los Angeles is served at The Federal Bar. It’s true. A person doesn’t need to be a burger aficionado or know every single quick and sit down place that serves them. Their teeth sink into this sucker and they know. It’s almost religious like.
Trejo’s Cantina is Freakin’ Delish!
If you want to see beautiful seaturtles, you go to the Galapagos islands. If you want A delicious plant based meal that’s not too heavy on the pocketbook, you amble down to Hollywood and sidle through the doors of Trejo’s Cantina. Established by actor Danny Trejo, the restaurant is situated in a stripmall right smack dab in the center of Hollywood, practically across the street from the Hotel Café. I don’t know about you, but I like a meal that sticks to your ribs yet nourishes at the same time. Trejo’s offers that in copious amounts, as my current food coma stomach status can attest.
