The L.A. version of New York’s famed street vendor food competition is back for a second year, pitting fusion taco against authentic pupusa in a fierce battle to determine who is the ultimate L.A. street chef. 2nd Annual Los Angeles Vendy Awards

We are thrilled to announce the 2nd Annual Los Angeles Vendy Awards on June 24th in Pan Pacific Park.

The Vendys are a street food cook-off that, since 2005, has determined the best street chef in NYC. It has become one of the greatest food events in New York. Mario Batali called the Vendys “the Oscars of food for the real New York.” Now, for the second year they are coming to Los Angeles!

There are 2 great ways to be a part of making LA street food history:

1. Until May 31th, we’ll take public nominations to determine who will be the lucky vendors invited to compete against each other for street food glory. At the event, we’ll have a team of distinguished judges score the finalists and decide who get the coveted Vendy Cup, while the rest of us eat, drink and be merry.

2. Buy tickets and attend. Until May 31th, or until we run out, we will be offering Early Bird tickets for $30 (we know, it’s a GREAT deal.)
