The VAC’s mission is to preserve the arts in Venice, a place that has historically been known as a vibrant and dynamic art community. Our goal is to share, inspire and promote collaboration within the Venice community through mixers and art events. We are an all volunteer run non-profit organization which is a committee of the Venice Chamber of Commerce.

Music Connects Us     Photography & Art Show   Featuring 75 artists April 20th, 2017 – 6-10 pm @ The Runway at Playa Vista VIP dinner will be held at Hal’s. • Exhibits by 75 artists Venice Art Crawl’s annual Fundraiser presents a Special Pop-Up Art Event hosted in a 4000 sq ft industrial space in Playa Vista. The event offers a night of full immersion into the most breakthrough contemporary art with over 75 International and Venice painters and photographers, and will raise funds to support the arts in Venice along with the 2017 Venice Afterburn taking place in September in Venice Beach. Several installation artists will build site-specific three-dimensional pieces that will create new environments within the exhibit area; the audience will walk through stimulating spaces that offer music, light shows, mini-performances, a psychedelic room and other experiences for a multisensory happening. Music Connects Us: Photography & Art Show A Venice Art Crawl Fundraiser Event www.veniceartcrawl.com

Venice, CA, April 3, 2017— The Venice Art Crawl (VAC) will celebrate its 7th annual Anniversary Fundraiser event, Music Connects Us: Photography & Art Show on Thursday April 20, 2017 at the Runway at Playa Vista, 12746 W. Jefferson Blvd, Playa Vista, 90066 from 6-10PM. VIP tickets include a sit down dinner at the new Hal’s Bar & Grill Playa Vista. General admission tickets are also available. Tickets can be purchased at www.veniceartcrawl.com for the “VIP Dinner and Art Show” package for $200 and the “Art Show” alone for $40.

The Venice Art Crawl continues its intersection of art and community at the Runway, transforming a 3,800 square foot space into an urban art installation. Over 70 local and international artists will be featured such as Trinidad-born artist Miles Regis. Prolific in both fine art and fashion design, Regis freely swaps the materials and languages of each to enrich the other. Spaik is a Mexican urban artist whose colorful works are inspired by Latin American folklore. His art’s ingredients might consist of the universe Walt Disney built, Tim Burton’s characters, Quentin Tarantino’s movie settings, as well as the melancholic tones of Alice in Chains or powerful chords of several post industrial bands. Los Angeles based Plastic Jesus is a street artist that specializes in bold stencil and installation work, inspired by world news events, society, the urban environment, culture and politics. Several installation artists will build site-specific three-dimensional pieces that create new environments within the exhibit area. Audiences can walk through spaces that offer music, light shows, mini-performances, a psychedelic room and other experiences for a multisensory happening.

The show also features the work of Guy Webster, one of the early innovators of rock-and-roll photography, whose stellar 40-year career has spanned the worlds of music, film and politics. Homoriot is a Los Angeles street artist who also travels around the world creating art and dialogue promoting equality, gay pride and “homo love.” The VAC is looking forward to the innovative balloon sculptures of Southern California based artist Balloonski. Featured DJs include Arabian Prince, original member of NWA, Decora and Betty Nyugen. There will also be a performance by Jessy Greene and Moxy Foxy. The art and music show is curated by In Heroes We Trust (@inheroeswetrust_venice).

In addition, Patrick Iaconis (CAVE Gallery) will be presented with a certificate from 11th District Los Angeles Councilman Mike Bonin in honor of opening the CAVE Gallery and for his support of art in Venice.

At the dinner, the VAC is pleased to welcome jazz singer Antonia Bennett, daughter of legendary singer Tony Bennett and Broadway belter Gail Boggs. Meanwhile, the artwork of Michael Paul Glaser will be displayed at Hal’s Bar & Grill.

Now in its seventh year, the Venice Art Crawl’s mission is to ensure that this historic artist community retains its iconic role as a driving force in American art and culture. Contributions for this fundraiser will support a high-spirited art event that happens four times a year: March 16, May 18, July 20, and September 22/23. The Venice Art Crawl’s goal is to share, inspire and promote collaboration within the Venice community through mixers and art events.
