Let us take you on a trip to Argentina’s amazing wine country. Discover and taste wines from the famous producing regions but also undiscovered corners. Let us take you on a trip to Argentina’s amazing wine country. You will discover and taste wines from the famous producing regions but also undiscovered corners. Let’s talk terroir and think outside the glass! As we taste though a line-up of about 8 wines, we will analyze together in what ways soil types and climates are impacting on the robe, nose, palate & texture/mouth feel! Traditional (noble) grapes will be discussed (and tasted) but also other more eclectic & unknown but fun & delicious varietals!
In the second part, we will help you pick the best itineraries based on your knowledge on Argentinean wines and what you wish to visit. We will explain how to plan (weeks in advance before your trip) tastings at boutique domaines and how to interact with the winemakers, etc. You will leave this event with great handouts and lists of recommendations!
Whether you’re a neophyte or a wine connoisseur, join us for a great interactive seminar, where you will also train and indulge your senses! Come with your questions & get the shortcuts to navigate the Argentinean wine country with confidence, from your glass to the vineyards! Artisan cheeses by Gourmet Imports will be served to pair with the wines. No selling directly to the public, they import directly and distribute to top-notch hotels, restaurants and gourmet stores in Los Angeles. Single origin grand cru Valrhona chocolates from South America (Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru) will be also provided and pair amazingly with the reds!
The wines we select are made sustainably at the very minimum. We focus on “green” wines and as much as possible we include (certified or not) organic and biodynamic wines. If they are good for mother nature, they are good for you.

I am a lucky guy… twenty years as the Publisher of Flying Adventures magazine (a lifestyle travel magazine for people who own and travel on private airplanes, and of whom are food & wine connoisseurs), which has lead me to the most amazing wine experiences.
I have been fortunate to taste some of the best wines ever produced, enjoyed dinners and detailed discussions with very famous winemakers and vintners, in their homes, wineries, special wine events, auctions, and I have made wine with them, made my own wine, and have participated in blind tastings, food & wine pairings with celebrity chefs… and I have worked in the vineyards, pruned the vines, picked grapes (eating as I go of course), all this to the point that I know so much about wine that I know I know very little.

Largest Street Fair with Vegan Focus in Los Angeles to Feature More Vendors Than Ever Before
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (March 17, 2017)- Vegan Street Fair, the food event with free admission, returns again to North Hollywood in Los Angeles, March 26, 2017, on Chandler Boulevard between Tujunga and Vineland.
Patrons can get delicious bite-sized and full-portioned plant-based eats as well as apparel curated from near and far. The event features vegan and vegan-friendly vendors from Los Angeles, Orange County, the Bay area and as far as Portland, Oregon and New York, New York. This year, the event will include 150 vendors- more than ever before.
“We’re bringing the best vegan eats and products to Los Angeles locals so they can experience vegan culture, food and fun all in one place,” said Jessica Schoech founder of Vegan Street Fair.
The event presents a variety of vendors from food to merchandise, accessories and more. Some of the returning vendors include Donut Friend, World Empanadas and Taqueria La Venganza. New for this year, Vegan Street Fair will feature Trejo’s Tacos, by CHLOE, Word of Mouth Truck and more. Another new addition will be a beer garden in partnership with The Federal Bar after great success at Vegan Street Fair Nights in September of 2016.
Vegan Street Fair’s inaugural year in 2015 hosted 44 vendors with around 10,000 attendees. In 2016, Vegan Street Fair boasted 100 vendors and had 20,000 attendees. Also in 2016, Vegan Street Fair added Vegan Street Fair Nights in September- a two-day paid evening event that had 3,000 attendees over two days.
This year, Vegan Street Fair will have not only Vegan Street Fair Los Angeles and Vegan Street Fair Nights in the line-up, but will also be bringing the popular event to the East Coast for Vegan Street Fair New York on June 10, 2017.
Schoech, who is from New York originally, was inspired to create the event based on street fairs that are popular in the city. Since Los Angeles is so vegan-friendly, the average person may never be able to try all the delicious vegan offerings – so Vegan Street Fair brings them to the people.

Neal Fraser, chef and owner of multiple restaurant concepts in Los Angeles, started his career in the kitchen at age 20. Fraser touts an impressive resume that includes a degree from the Culinary Institute of America and an honor roll of kitchen credits such as Wolfgang Puck’s Eureka and Spago, Checkers Hotel under Thomas Keller, Joachim Splichal’s Pinot Bistro, Hans Rockenwagner’s Rox, and the highly revered Boxer. Currently, he and his business partner/wife, Amy Knoll Fraser, own and operate critically acclaimed Redbird; high-volume special events and performing arts venue Vibiana; fast-casual Fritzi Coop at Arts District Brewing Company and in the Farmer’s Market at the Grove.
Redbird has received many accolades including a coveted spot on Los Angeles Times’ Gold List by Jonathan Gold and Los Angeles Magazine’s Best New Restaurants list.
Outside of the restaurants, Fraser has logged some hours on the small screen, most notably on Bravo TV’s ‘Top Chef Masters,’ Fox’s ‘Hell’s Kitchen,’ and Food Network’s ‘Iron Chef America,’ on which he won his battle against Chef Cat Cora. He also won his battles on Esquire TV’s ‘Knife Fight,’ and Food Network’s ‘Beat Bobby Flay.’
The dinner will be paired with a selection of wines from Challen Winery.
Challen Winery is a small Santa Barbara County producer of premium single vineyard designated Pinot Noirs. Proprietor and actress Challen Cates will be in attendance to discuss the pairings of her fine wines.
